Another way of Knowing

Since I was a child, I always felt that there was another way of knowing. A way of knowing not based on the rational and linear mind, not coming from the books we read, a primordial space of knowing coming from an expanded consciousness attuned to the vibration of the present moment pulsed by the Mystery.

As I have been walking on my spiritual path, meditation opened my being to a space beyond my limited mind, my thoughts, the stories of my mind, values, beliefs and input received through my education, religion and culture.

In my first Vipassana intensive retreat, I saw that all the content of my mind and body, my thoughts, emotions and sensations were coming and going, from and to a pristine space of silence, which permeated my entire reality.

When I came out of this first retreat in South Nepal, in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha, I saw a tree in its fullness, sparkling majestically in the rising sun untainted by any concepts, a numinous vision which is still imprinted in my bones, remembering me that there is a realm beyond any words my mind can imagine. This happened on the day of my 25th birthday. This Vision echoed magically and synchronistically in the deep laugh of my cycle rickshaw driver, a celebration sound anchored into the womb of the Mystery. This tree appeared as having its own Existence, no more an object, rooted in Creation while celebrating the Mystery. Wide open, receiving only through my senses, there was no separation between me and Life.

There is another way of Knowing, a realm where the pulse of Creation can directly be felt with a sense of exultation of being Home again, no longer isolated but connected to the poetry of Life.

This other way of knowing can be defined by some as an intuitive knowing. I am careful with this word intuition as it can still be associated with the mind limited filters. Here I am not rejecting the mind but referring to our mind, empty of limiting concepts, fears and goals, fresh to be impregnated by our five senses, leaving space for the union of the mind and the body, birthing a mystic vessel in which an expanded reality can be experienced.

This reality can be called the invisible realm, the one which can not be seen and understood by the binaries of the mind. This numinous reality is always vibrating under the linear mind. She is pulsed by the creative force, the Feminine Mystery, weaving our reality and the entire tapestry of Life. Attuned to her frequency, love, belonging, peace, joy, beauty, magick are springing out of the simple fact of Being Alive.

Our human sensorial body is the chalice of this other way of knowing,

Enrich and give texture to our life,

Give us hope,

Remember we are loved and we belong,

See Beauty and Magick even in the midst of the deepest despairs

Be inspired directly by Life Intelligence/Creation

Here.

This other way of knowing IS

Here in the depth of this very present moment

One can dive into by

Leaning, Softening, Dropping

To be ravished by the vibration of the present moment.

Attuning to this other way of knowing requires devotion and practices to unravel limiting conditionings preventing us to totally let go, dissolve and die.
